A Special Ocassion

Today was a very special day.  Amongst all the pain and suffering that is inherent to this miserable world, a small beacon of happiness and hope prevailed on this day.  That’s right, today, which marks the end of my third week of employment at Bell Helicopter, I received my fist paycheck.  It is truly a thing of beauty.  And while I reflected upon it, using it as a lens in which to focus into perspective all the unique intricacies of the universe, I had an epiphany….

The government sucks.

Those bastards took nearly a quarter of it!  I didn’t sign up for that.  Hell I didn’t even vote.  What am I paying this for?  The peace of mind that the government will protect me and come to my aid in the event of an emergency?  Oh yeah, I’m feeling it.  I want my money back.  This is why if I ever register to vote I’m becoming a Libertarian.

On a happier note, everyone will be pleased to hear that I have joined the Bell Helicopter bowling league.  So every Tuesday night I will be getting my bowling on.  Before last week I hadn’t been bowling in like 6 or 7 months, so I was not exactly on top of my game (ie I sucked).  I only averaged a 113 over the three games with a high of 129 (I will leave it to you to figure out how much I sucked the other games…I don’t really want to think about it).  Fortunately I got it back this week, bowling a 141, a 128, and a 144 in my three games.

The Red Sox suck.  Bastards.
